No matter where you are in the world, the Equinox on September 22nd is one of only two days per year when the hours of night equal the hours of day (hence the term equi-nox, or equal night).
Since ancient times, the September Equinox has been associated with the beginning of Autumn: a time of harvest, togetherness & transition.
From this day until the Winter Solstice, the days will grow shorter, colder & darker. And while the opposite is true for those who live in the Southern Hemisphere, wherever you are in the world, the Equinox turns the wheel of the year & ushers in a new season.
This Equinox, I invite you to align with the energies of the Fall and move through the shifts occurring within & around you.
We will sensually celebrate the Autumn season with a grounding, playful, challenging & creative movement practice designed to help you let go of stagnant energy and lean into deeper self-discovery. This is an opportunity to lift up what you’ve been bringing to fruition this year, celebrate how far you’ve come, relish in your own personal harvest, & share it with your loved ones.
This practice will be a space to release the things you’ve been clinging to that no longer serve you, as you are guided back home to your roots, anchored in a sacred circle of supportive community.
Together, we’ll learn, sweat, flow, center & connect with each other as a declaration of interdependence; illuminating the power of collectivism as we liberate ourselves, others & this beautiful city that we call home.
