Carpinteria Salt Marsh and Beach with Nature Track-Heartland Charter School

Registration window March 4, 10:00 a.m.- March 6, 7:00 p.m.

Please join us as we walk the beautiful Carpinteria Salt Marsh and State Beach. This field trip is a docent-led field trip, and these docents are fantastic! They know the animals, plants, and habitats, and you will definitely learn something new and exciting!  

This is a walking tour, so dress appropriately. There are no hills as it is flat on the marsh and beach.

You may want to bring a backpack and towel, and it is suggested to bring snacks, lunch, sunscreen, hat, lunch, and water.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please email the field trip host to let them know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

What are the check-in procedures? Please look for Kathy Grace-Velazquez on Ash Street in her Heartland gear in front of the “Carpinteria Salt Marsh” sign. We will meet at the end of Ash St. in Carpinteria at the beach, on the south side of the railroad tracks!. You will need to come down Linden Ave to get over the railroad tracks.

Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Each person who attends a field trip or event must be registered through Ticketbud.

Is there on-site parking available? Yes, free street parking is available.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes, and water is recommended.
