Kern County Science Fair - Public Viewing-Heartland Charter School

Registration window February 24, 10:00 a.m. -March 3, 7:00 p.m.

Come join us at the Public Viewing of the Kern County Science Fair. Your family will meet Mrs. Hansen near the box office by 12:45 pm. You and your students will go in together with the other families and Mrs. Hansen to the Science Fair floor on the stage of Mechanics Bank Theater. We will start together. We can walk through together, or after we get down there, you can break off from the group WITH your students. There will be a lot of public there, so you MUST stay with your students. After checking out all the projects, you can go to the lobby and see the Science vendors up there and what they may have. At 3, awards begin for the participants, so the public  portion is concluded.

Come and get ideas for your own projects, and prepare for next year's competition!

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please email the field trip host to let them know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!

What are the check-in procedures? Meet Rachel Hansen on the steps outside of the Theater near the box office from 12:40-12:55. Then, we’ll enter together to start viewing projects down on the stage at 1pm sharp. She will be wearing Heartland attire, a name badge, and have a clipboard.

Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? This field trip is aimed at students in 2nd-12th grade; however, all ages are welcome. Each person who attends a field trip or event must be registered through Ticketbud.

Is there on-site parking available? There is street parking & a parking garage. There may be a cost for parking.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes.
