Bakersfield Police Department Tour- Heartland Charter School

Registration window August 8, 10:00 a.m. -August 13, 7:00 p.m.

Come join us as we tour the first and second floor of the police department.

If available, we may get to see a K9 demonstration. The tour is about an hour and if we add a demo it’s about 1 1⁄2 hours. For grades K-3 only please.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please email the field trip host to let them know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!

What are the check-in procedures? Please arrive at 9:45 am to check-in. Find Sarah Elliott, who will be wearing a Heartland t-shirt in front of the BPD station.

Does this trip have any grade or age restrictions? Students must be in Tk-3rd grade to attend. One chaperone per family due to limited space.

Is there on-site parking available? Families need to find parking in the downtown area. Be careful not to park in any area marked as "No Parking".

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? No.
