This workshop provides pregnant people with a safe & supportive space to connect with their changing bodies & changing lives, as well as with other parents-to-be.
Together, we’ll move through Yoga Asana poses that help to prepare the body, mind & nervous system for each stage of pregnancy, as well as birth & postpartum recovery. We’ll incorporate poses, shapes, stretches & exercises to strengthen the body, build stamina, improve circulation, facilitate better balance, alleviate common aches & pains, aid in digestion, encourage your baby into a more optimal birthing position, relieve stress and relax the mind.
This movement-based class will interweave childbirth education with self-care practices to help you create a birth plan that works for you. We will explore coping skills to help you navigate the physical & emotional challenges of labor for a smoother, more functional birth.
In addition to cultivating greater body-awareness & a deeper connection to your growing baby, you will also be encouraged to tap into your own innate wisdom, trust your intuition, voice your questions & concerns, advocate for yourself, communicate clearly & effectively with your birth team & build community.
This class is designed to empower, support & celebrate you, while prioritizing your needs, desires, comfort & safety. The goal of this practice is for pregnant people to move through their pregnancy with grace, care, curiosity, patience, kindness, mindfulness, acceptance & awe.
