CE Workshop In-Person: Opening New Worlds: Virtual Reality for Connection, Comfort, and Meaningful Engagement
Virtual reality is opening new possibilities for meaningful engagement, connection, and wellness in aging care. This interactive CE session will explore how VR can support older adults and persons living with cognitive change through virtual travel, reminiscence, relaxation, cognitive stimulation, social connection, and comfort-focused experiences.
Participants will review current research, practical applications, safety considerations, and person-centered strategies for using VR thoughtfully in care settings. The session will also explore how technology can support personalized engagement planning for individuals with a range of cognitive and physical abilities.
