Tulsa FBS - Kory Barnett - September 2nd

Kory Barnett was named the 13th head men's basketball coach at Oral Roberts University in March 2025 after serving as an assistant coach at West Virginia.

One of the nation's rising young coaches, Barnett brings experience from Indiana, UCLA, Nevada, and West Virginia. During his coaching career, he has been part of eight NCAA Tournament teams, including five Sweet 16 appearances, seven 20-win seasons, and has helped develop and recruit 19 NBA players, including nine first-round draft picks.

A former Indiana student-athlete, Barnett helped lead the Hoosiers to the 2012 NCAA Sweet 16 before beginning his coaching career as a graduate assistant. He earned his bachelor's degree in sports communications from Indiana and is known for his fast-paced style of play, defensive emphasis, and commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the court.

Barnett and his wife, Sarah, have two sons, Brooks and Blake.
