Jay Alexander was a 2009 graduate of Rogers High School and was attending Arkansas Tech to become a mechanical engineer when he was struck with this disease. He was happy and healthy until shortly before it was diagnosed. He passed away 32 days after they found the tumor. He is always in our hearts. Here's to Jay!
Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to research of fibrolamellar cancer. This rare cancer does not get the funding like the more common cancers do. All administrative costs of FCF are paid by the founders of the foundation, so all our donations go DIRECTLY towards research. This foundation has made great strides into this cancer since its founding in 2010. To name a few: The specific gene mutation has been identified. There are now clinical trials. They bring together experts in the field at a scientific conference. They have organized a tissue bank for research. The foundation has donated over $6 million towards fibrolamellar research to over 15 institutions.
