RISE X NY CineFest Industry Showcase & Panel

On Saturday, the 25th of April, RISE FLIX hosts its first exclusive in-person Industry Showcase for the year 2026 in partnership with New York CineFest at Cinema Village (located at 22 E 12th St, New York, NY 10003).

This event welcomes everyone, from simple film enthusiasts to seasoned filmmakers. It is an event designed to connect filmmakers directly with the industry, so ticket holders will have the opportunity to attend a panel of and network with members of RISE's network of producers, talent representatives, casting directors, entertainment attorneys, distributors, financiers, and creative executives.

Our selected RISE films and filmmakers for this year are...

1.) "GHAZI" by Shariful Taher: A young man and his friend plot to steal a neighborhood dog to fund their escape to Florida, but their journey forces him to confront a deeper truth.

2.) "A SONG FOR DANNY" by Andrew Garbus: Danny, a jazz pianist living in Austin, Texas, gets an offer to sign with a big recording label in New York. Over the course of one night, Danny must decide what's more important, his career or his relationships with those he will have to leave behind.

3.) "YOU ARE FUNNY" by Ashley Rose Folino & Gui Agustini: After receiving life-changing news, an out-of-work clown and a sports journalist are forced to face the hard truth about their relationship.

4.) "FOR THEM" by Andrei Kogolenok: On the night of his gallery opening, queer painter Noah shares the stories behind his work with a trusted friend— fractured memories of trauma, love, and addiction. As the evening unfolds, the line between past and present blurs, pulling Noah into a final, dreamlike state.
