SLO Entrepreneur Fair 2026- Heartland Charter School

Registration window October 15, 10:00 a.m. -November 8, 7:00 p.m.

The Entrepreneur Fair has become a beloved annual tradition for our SLO students! This is project-based learning at its finest! Your student can plan, make, and sell items of their choice.

Students have made and sold: Crafts, products, food (NO NUTS ALLOWED), services (for example, face-painting), and carnival games (it costs to play).

Ideally, products should be handmade or include items like homegrown produce or repurposed items. Feel free to be creative! It’s the student’s own business, so they set the price, and they make the money.

Students who will be selling items must also complete the JotForm link and a business plan to secure their spot as a vendor. Spots are limited, and they fill up every year before the deadline.

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE! (A Procurify order is not required.)

What are the check-in procedures? Please meet at the location at 9:10 am to check-in and to set up your table. Heartland staff will be checking families in. We will be wearing our Heartland Shirts.

If coming to shop at the Entrepreneur Fair, it will be open from 10 am to 12 noon. Please check in at the desk before entering the gym.

Who may attend? Students must be enrolled to sell items; however, all ages are welcome to attend as buyers. Every attendee needs a ticket. This includes infants.

Is there on-site parking available? Please park in the UPPER parking lot or on the street.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Food will be available for purchase. You can also bring water.

You must have a student enrolled at Heartland Charter School to attend this event. We verify enrollment for all attendees.

• It is important that you provide the name of the person who will be using each ticket when registering. Don't reserve all of your tickets using your name. (We do not recommend using the option that allows you to copy data from another attendee.)

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please email the field trip host to let them know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

To ensure we can provide these experiences to as many students as possible, please review our commitment guidelines before registering.

Tickets are Non-Transferable

• Non-Transferable: Tickets are tied specifically to the student account used at registration. They cannot be sold, gifted, or transferred to another family.

The "No-Show" Policy

• Loss of Access: Families who are frequent "no-shows" may lose access to future field trip registrations. We track attendance to ensure that limited spots go to families who are committed to attending.

Professional Courtesy: If an emergency arises, and you truly cannot make it:

• Notify the Lead Teacher: Please email the organizing teacher as soon as possible.
• Why it matters: This prevents the entire group from waiting at the venue entrance for your arrival, keeping the educational program on schedule for everyone else.

Our Goal: By only registering for events you are fully committed to, you help us keep our field trip program sustainable and open to all students.
