Join us for a presentation from Bill Fox of Hughes Agency about Unity Park's long history in the making. Originally envisioned in the 1907 report “Beautifying and Improving Greenville South Carolina”, the Unity Park concept has been long in the making. For the past two years, Hughes Agency has been raising private funding as well as handling all of the public relations, media relations and community relations for the project. Located west of downtown Greenville and along the Swamp Rabbit Trail, the 60-acre park has a long history and myriad of environmental, social, and engineering challenges. After roughly a decade of planning for the park along the Reedy River, utility work on the site is nearly complete and construction is well underway. Join us to learn some history, see an overview of the project efforts, and get an update on the status.

Bill Fox, is the Senior Account Director for Hughes Agency with more than 30 years experience as a journalist. Bill most recently served as Managing Editor of The Greenville News with accolades including Pulitzer Prize finalist and two-time South Carolina Journalist of the Year. Bill graduated from Northwestern University with bachelor and master degrees in journalism.
