An evening with Zikr Dance Ensemble & Denver Ballet Theatre (Littleton)

Zikr Dance Ensemble presents Mysteries, Rites & Revelations, featuring excerpts from from the company's masterpieces of modern dance: "Portals," "Vespers" and "Sadhu." The program also will include several classical variations, as well as excerpts from "Sleeping Beauty" performed by Denver Ballet Theatre.

“Portals” is Zikr Artistic Director David Taylor’s critically acclaimed visionary work based on dance rituals in other dimensions. “Sadhu” explores the enigmatic holy men of India and Nepal to the pulsating music of Philip Glass. “Vespers” is a beautiful work for five women that celebrates the evening prayer of thanksgiving and most important part of the Catholic Liturgy of the Hours.
