We are currently in a moment where many of us are realizing that the time to move forward with an Anti-racist society is upon us. Many people agree with the notion that all lives are created equal but are unsure of why Black Lives Matter still needs to be stated if that premise is in fact true. The reality is, that systemic racism is embedded in all facets of our society. That is not a coincidence but by design. How do we move forward dismantling those systems that are so much broader than police brutality.

This workshop will present ideas and strategies to integrate into our lives to rid ourselves of racist ideology and implicit biases.

Schedule for Workshop:

11AM Introductions and Terminology

1130AM What does an Anti-Racist Curriculum look like? What does an Anti-Racist Student look like? What does an Anti-Racist Leader look like? Val will show you how to stand up in Anti-Racism, regardless of how you identify. We all have roe in this moment, let's work on developing how we can truly impact change.

12:45PM-1PM Let's make a plan for next steps we will all take. Let's hold ourselves and one another accountable to have these difficult conversations and life changes.
