About the Artist
Ensemble Goldentree is a collaborative chamber music project dedicated to the cultivation of engaging experiences with new and rarely performed works.

Ensemble Goldentree was founded by Tim Hannah (horn) and Alison McIntosh-Deszcz (soprano) in 2015. The ensemble specialises in presenting rarely performed music and new Australian compositions for mixed chamber ensemble. We aim to broaden audience perceptions of traditional and contemporary chamber music by showcasing the energy and passion of friends making music together. Since its inception the ensemble has contributed to the development of chamber music in Australia with new commissions and collaborations and has worked with some of Melbourne’s brightest young composers and musicians.

The ensemble has performed in numerous local venues throughout Melbourne as part of its 2015, 2016 and 2017 concert seasons, and has travelled to Townsville, Queensland to participate in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music Advanced Winterschool in both 2015 and 2016. This annual intensive week of coachings and masterclasses has proven a formative experience for members of the ensemble, allowing them to work with world leaders in chamber music performance. Ensemble Goldentree has also performed live on 3MBS (103.5 FM) as part of The Talent Series 3.

Ensemble Goldentree has performed at Beleura House & Garden on the Mornington Peninsula and has presented programs for Surrey Hills Music Festival and the Friends of Music Series at St George’s Travancore.

The ensemble is committed gender parity and the promotion of Australian artists in its commissioning and performing activities.

The proceeds will also speak volumes for continuing the fundraising spirit for the Moonee Valley City community, and for continuing the vision for quality, affordable concert-going experiences for the local communities.
