Directions: From Hwy 280, take the Sand Hill West exit and travel approx. 2 mi. to theĀ Jasper Ridge main gateĀ (on the left), 100 yards before Portola Rd. We will meet at 8:00AM sharp and enter through the locked gate as a group - late arrivals may be locked out.
Highlights: Our first stop will be the historic and now-controversial Searsville Dam. While circumnavigating the lake, we will look for wintering waterfowl along with woodpeckers, raptors, and a variety of both resident and visiting songbirds.
Difficulty: Easy 2-mile walk.
Notes: Spots limited to 12 participants.
For all trips: Beginners welcome. Heavy rain cancels. Carpool if possible. Bring binoculars. No unaccompanied minors.
