Event Description
Make your very own Traditional Irish Ash Hurley!
At the end of this one day workshop you will have learned the skills required to hone and shape a piece of solid root ash into a finely crafted hurley or hurling stick!
The workshop will begin with a tour and demonstration of how we make our famous hurls using a combination of modern and traditional techniques.
Participants will then be invited to select their own plank of Ash from our seasoned stock before carefully tracing their desired shape.
Under the watchful eye of Micheal Scullion and using only traditional hand tools and techniques you will then begin to craft your very own Traditional Ash Hurley which will not only look good but feel great when you strike a sliotar!
