Farm to Table Cooking Class August 4th 10-1
Tuesday, August 04, 2020
10:00 AM - 01:00 PM
The Farmer's Hands Homestead
605 Phillips Valley Rd, Mars Hill, NC 28754, USA
We have received quite a lot of requests to do a vegetable cooking class, and we are really excited about this idea! Vegetables are amazing! We love them!! There are so many varieties and they are so versatile. Vegetables have many different flavors and you can enhance the tastes of any vegetable by learning special cooking techniques and recipes.
This is not a vegetarian cooking class, but a vegetable cooking class. This class is about extracting the most flavor from vegetables, and pairing them with some fun and unique ingredients. This includes butter, animal fat, bacon, anchovies, prosciutto, herbs, nuts, oils and so much more. We will base these classes on what's available in our gardens as well as what's at the farmers market.
Here is a sample menu form past classes:
Green Beans with Romesco Sauce and Lemon
Grilled Napa Cabbage Caesar Salad
Beet Panzanella Salad
Vanilla Glazed Japanese Turnips
Spring Garlic Soup
Brussel Sprouts with Apple and Bacon
Root Vegetable Tart Tatin
