05:30 PM - 07:00 PM

GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library

Boston Public Library, Boylston Street, Boston, MA, USA

Join GBH Education at the GBH Studio at the Boston Public Library as we mark the upcoming 25th anniversary of the attacks on September 11, 2001. This special event will bring together educators and community members for an evening of learning, reflection, and conversation.

In partnership with the Massachusetts 9/11 Fund, the program will feature curriculum experts, media producers, educators, and community leaders exploring the lasting impacts of 9/11. Together, they will discuss how to support young people in understanding both the human toll and the ongoing global significance of that day. The conversation will also highlight Massachusetts’ deep connection to the events of 9/11 and the enduring impact on families and communities across the Commonwealth. During the event, we will preview brand‑new videos and an interactive lesson designed to help educators navigate the complexities of teaching 9/11 to students who did not experience these events firsthand.

This event is free and open to all. We hope you will join us as we reflect on the past and consider how best to teach this history to future generations.

Refreshments will be provided.
