CREW Upstate: February Luncheon

Commerce Club

Thursday February 7th 2019 11:30 am –  1:00 pm

Opportunity Zones:

How do they work? How were they chosen? What is the future?

Please join CREW Upstate for a panel discussion about Opportunity Zones.

Mark Cooter, Burnie Maybank and Ginny Stroud will be our panelists.

The panel will help to guide us through the discussion of new tax laws, give insight on how areas were chosen within the City of Greenville, learn what type of business can be generated within those areas, and how those areas will function in the future.

Mark Cooter with Cherry Bekaert will speak on the tax laws.

Ginny Stroud with the City of Greenville will discuss the selection process and the City's future plans for the selected areas.

Burnie Maybank with Nexsen | Pruett will round out the discussion with the legal ramifications of these sites for clients and local government.

**REMINDER**

Luncheons are at a new location this year, the Commerce Club, and we will be enjoying buffet options instead of a sit-down lunch. Please plan to arrive close to 11:30AM to have plenty of time to network and grab your lunch. The program will be starting promptly at 12:00PM. Additionally, parking validation tickets will be available to cover your parking for the luncheon.
