Tehachapi’s Entrepreneur Fair- Heartland Charter School

Registration window March 6, 10:00 a.m. -May 1, 7:00 p.m.

Does your child have an idea of something they’d like to sell? Would they like to try their hand at entrepreneurship? If the answer is yes, please consider participating in Tehachapi’s Entrepreneur Fair! This is an event where students can create products and sell them. Please note that this year's event will be held outdoors at the Tehachapi Depot.

Suggestions for products are baked goods (no nuts allowed), greeting cards, candles, hair accessories, jewelry, game booths, plants, bath products, etc. *Please note that school funds cannot pay for any items sold in this event.

Space is limited. Only one booth per family will be allowed. Please submit an order for one booth in Ticketbud if you decide to participate. In addition, please fill out the required “Entrepreneur Fair Survey” below by Fri., May 1st.

*If you wish to be an attendee only (including all parents/guardians and siblings), please sign up in Ticketbud as well. One ticket per person.

ATTENTION SELLERS! Here is a link to the Student Information Sheet to see the guidelines and rules for our entrepreneurs participating in this event. Please carefully read all of the information. If you decide to be a seller, you are required to fill out this Entrepreneur Fair Survey between March 6- May 1st. You must sign up in Ticketbud AND fill out the survey in order to be a seller.

Entrepreneurs, please allow yourselves plenty of time to prepare for this event! There are many details to consider, and families typically need at least one month to prepare.

Here is a great document to help you and your entrepreneur create a Business Plan. The marketing questions are hypothetical since you cannot publicly advertise this event.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!

What are the check-in procedures? Check-in starts at 11 am. Meet me at the table at the front entrance to the depot’s park area.

Who may attend? All ages are welcome. Each person present must register for a ticket. This includes students who are selling items at the entrepreneur fair.

Is there on-site parking available? Please park in the Tehachapi Park and Ride located at 335 W Tehachapi Blvd. It’s a 5 to 7-minute walk from there to the depot. Bring a wagon to haul your supplies. If there’s availability, curbside drop off will be allowed in front of the depot, right along Tehachapi Blvd. Please limit your loading and unloading time to 10 minutes. After unloading, please park in the Park and Ride. Do not park anywhere along Tehachapi Blvd or at Kohnen’s Bakery.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes.

Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.
