Illinois Conservative Union is pleased to host Strategy 2019, the 4th Annual Illinois Conservative Grassroots Activist Conference. The Conference is Saturday, August 24, 2019, from 8am - 4pm. This is an Illinois-specific, action-oriented event. Every attendee will find new tools for their activist toolbox, and will learn how to use them to greatest effect.
This one-day conference begins at 8am with a continental breakfast, welcome and the message, “The New Trifecta of Election Fraud… and what we can do about it!”. After the Welcome, attendees can choose from one of two morning track sessions. Track One is for candidates, potential candidates, and everyone who works with candidates and campaigns. Track Two is for grassroots activists and regular folks who want to know how they can help save our state.
We’ll come back together before lunch to hear a fascinating talk by author and attorney David Shestokas, sharing from his book, “Creating the Declaration of Independence”. Lunch is also included, along with time to visit sponsors and exhibitors, build new contacts and catch up with friends.
Throughout the day, sessions will be presented by well-known Illinois Conservative leaders such as Jeanne Ives, James Marter, Babette Holder, Ed Ronkowski and David Shestokas. We’ll also hear from guests from Washington D.C. like Colby Bledsoe, FreedomWorks Director of Campaigns; Emily Stack, FreedomWorks Director of Grassroots, and more.
One of the afternoon sessions will offer an opportunity for attendees to hear from some of the candidates, and for the candidates to sharpen their speaking skills.
NOTE: Candidates will be invited to give a two to three minute summary of how they would vote on the following issues. These issues include, gender, taxation, education, life issues, immigration, physician-assisted suicide, as well as voter integrity. The invitation to present will be based on the candidates alignment and/or voting record with the Illinois Conservative Union's values. Since there will be limited time available during the conference, ICU reserves the right to limit the number of candidates presenting. The decision regarding which candidates may present is at the sole discretion of ICU.
Exhibitors include FreedomWorks, The Heartland Institute, Illinois Family Institute, Illinois Family Action, ACT for America, and more.
Keynote speaker TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON.
For those who would like to help some of our most valuable activists or a student (who have time and talent, but limited money) to attend, please consider purchasing a "scholarship."
