Welcome to the 2026 Volunteer Management Hybrid Conference (VMHC)

Welcome! We're delighted you've chosen to join the 2026 Volunteer Management Hybrid Conference, a one-of-a-kind professional development experience that brings volunteer engagement professionals together through local host sites across Canada, the United States, and around the world.

VMHC combines the best of both worlds—world-class speakers and a shared international conference experience, paired with the opportunity to connect, network, and learn alongside colleagues in your own community.

This year's conference theme, Embracing the Future of Volunteer Engagement: Building for Resilience and Sustainability, will explore the ideas, strategies, and innovations shaping the future of our profession.

Thank you for being part of this growing global community. We hope you leave inspired, equipped with practical ideas, and connected to peers who share your passion for engaging volunteers.

Please register with intention: Attendance is free, but seating is limited. If you reserve a spot, please plan to attend. If your plans change, let us know so we can offer your seat to someone on the waiting list.

• A charger if you plan to use an electronic device

• Business cards or contact information if you would like to connect with fellow attendees

Please bring your own lunch. We encourage everyone to stay onsite during the lunch break so we can use the time to connect, network, and continue conversations with colleagues.

Connect With Your Local Volunteer Engagement Community

One of the best parts of attending VMHC at a local host site is the opportunity to meet others doing this work in our own region. Throughout the day, we’ll build in opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, discuss what we are hearing from the conference speakers, and learn from one another.

Come ready to share what is working in your organization, ask questions, and make some new connections!

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Loudoun County and spending the day together.
