Buck off Polio 2.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Join us in raising funds to help Rotary eradicate polio. Rotary's goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever.

Event Information:

• Run Registration Opens: 8:00 am
• 2.5 Mile run begins (outer loop around Three Crowns): 9:00 am
• Kids Color Fun Run starts (adjacent lot): 10:00 am

Raffle:

Swag bag for each participant, plus raffle prizes that include PBR T-shirts, hats, and tickets, plus a 20% discount on PBR tickets for the October 9^th show with proof of a paid registration.

Eradicating Polio:

As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, Rotary reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent since the first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.

Rotary has helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries. So far, Rotary has contributed more than $1.8 billion toward eradicating the disease worldwide.

Today, polio remains endemic only in Afghanistan, Nigeria, and Pakistan. But it’s crucial to continue working to keep other countries polio-free. If all eradication efforts stopped today, within 10 years, polio could paralyze as many as 200,000 children each year.
