KCI Computer Science Workshop - January 12, 2019

Krause Center for Innovation, Foothill College

Saturday January 12th 2019 9:00 am –  1:00 pm

Start 2019 with a fun 3 hour coding workshop on Python, one of the most popular text based programming languages in industry and education today. Lean about loops, lists and how to define and use your own Python functions while creating wonderful art masterpieces and graphing data.

For educators who have attended previous workshops at KCI, this is the perfect next step to a deeper dive into Python and a time to expand your coding skills. For educators new to Python, come find out why text based coding in Python is not scary - and it can be the perfect next step after block based Scratch. All levels of coding experience, and all grade level educators welcome. The workshop will include a networking lunch with other educators interested in computer science.

Thanks to the generous funding from Microsoft, the workshop AND lunch is available to Bay Area educators for a $25 registration fee.
