BRIDGE Strategies: A Two-Day Applied Training and Design Workshop at Point of View
For NGO representatives, religious, and community leaders.
Sustainable Peace Lab (Carter School of Peace and Conflict Resolution, GMU) cordially invites NGO representatives, civic, and religious activists to the reconciliation strategy training that will take place on May 21-22 at the Point of View Recreation Center (Lorton, VA). Each training day lasts from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This training addresses key divisions in the U.S., including issues of migration, political polarization, and contested history, to equip civic, faith-based, and community leaders in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia with practical tools for addressing identity-based conflicts.
During this two-day training, participants will learn and apply BRIDGE strategies to reduce identity threats, strengthen civic belonging, and manage tensions among diverse groups. As a result of this interactive training, participants will have a usable BRIDGE Action Canvas and toolkit that can be immediately applied to their institutions and practices.
