Passport Acceptance Event

The Minneapolis Passport Agency will host a special application acceptance event on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This event is a convenient way to apply for a passport for the first time or to renew a passport without having to show proof of urgent travel. While passports will not be issued the same day, applications will remain at the Minneapolis Passport Agency for the entirety of processing. Applicants can apply for routine (4-6 weeks) or expedited (2-3 weeks) service.

Appointments are required, and applicants must bring the following:

• A completed passport application
• Citizenship evidence
• 2x2 inch photo taken within the last six months
• Acceptable payment (electronic payments only)
• Both parents if the applicant is under 16 years old

For international travel, a passport is essential. Domestically, the U.S. passport meets all requirements for Real ID. Be prepared to travel, apply for your passport now!
