Horsemanship Clinic - Training the Mind and Body of your Horse

1-1 session with inhand specialist Callie Gaston working to mentally train horses to cope in our human environment.

Callie spent several months training with Tristan Tucker and uses TRT method alongside her own experiences as a horse trainer.

If you have a horse that can be tense and spooky at competitions or at home, a horse that struggles with separation anxiety, or one that has a lack of awareness of humans on the ground then this is the clinic for you. From loading into horseboxes to leaping over jumps Callie can help you build more willing, relaxed partnership with your horse.

All problems seen under saddle are present in hand, so Callie starts working with every pair on the ground. Then it is possible to take your new knowledge from the ground into the saddle and then for you to take into the competition arena!

The focus is on teaching horses to have good connection with their own bodies, which in turn leads to relaxation and healthier movement. We find out what the natural independent order of movement is in the horses body and by helping them change it, it completely changes the horses story.

Callie is training the mind & body of the horse to allow them to perform at their best under saddle. Horses are the most generous of animals but they perform at their best when they are not pushed but asked in a way which they can understand. The more our horses 'know' the less we have to 'manage'.

Callie has worked with all levels, and all disciplines whether starting a young unbroken horse, wanting to spook-proof your happy hacker to focusing on jumping or a grand-prix dressage combination.

£70 per horse and owner combination, including Arena Hire and Booking Fees.

A schedule with timings for sessions will be allocated 1 week prior, with parking instructions and the gate code. If you have any specific time requests please contact me.
