Join the Center for Social Sector Leadership for a half day workshop for incoming first-year FT MBAs who are interested in social impact. The workshop will help students explore their personal why for coming to business school, articulate their core values, and begin to design their MBA experience with a social impact lens.
This workshop will be led by:
Breek Jenkins: Haas Alumn and CSSL Faculty Member
- Bree Jenkins is an experiential educator and former engineer who loves to spend her time empowering leaders to bring joy to their work and lives. She teaches a CSSL class called Conflict Lab at UC Berkeley and is the former manager of Leadership Development at Pixar Animation Studios. She's on the CSSL Advisory Board and took Social Sector Solutions, Non-Profit Boards, and Large Scale Social Change as a FTMBA student at Haas (class of 2019). She's a certified coach through Coach Diversity Institute and loves music and dance, specifically salsa.
Jess Blackshaw: 2nd Year MBA Student
- Jess Blackshaw is a second year FTMBA and former nonprofit leader who cares deeply about helping people align what they do with what they value. Before Haas, she was Executive Director of YCore, a nonprofit that trains early-career professionals in social change through community-based projects, and she worked as a human-centered design researcher and workshop facilitator with Net Impact and the Aspen Institute. She’s led workshops on values, purpose, and strategy across sectors, and currently serves on the CSSL Student Advisory Board. Jess also loves to sing and performs with a treble Barbershop chorus in San Francisco.
