CREW Site Tour - Simpsonville Municipal Center

Municipal centers are the front porches of our communities. These public buildings bring people together and capture the individual character of the cities they serve. DP3 Architects is partnering with the City of Simpsonville to design a new Municipal Center which will include new facilities for the Simpsonville City Hall, the police department, fire station headquarters, and magistrate and municipal court. The design is being developed in conjunction with the redevelopment of the Simpsonville City Park which will include two new turf multipurpose fields, playground, tennis, and basketball courts, frisbee golf and dog park, and great lawn and amphitheater.

This project contributes to the vision of creating a vibrant and connective space between Simpsonville’s city park and downtown area. The municipal campus will streamline and optimize the process for municipal operations by collocating the departments on one site. The facility will create a sense of presence in this part of the city and make way for recreational opportunities along the park and access to the growing downtown. DP3 Architects looks forward to the opportunity to create a space that is functional, flexible, and inspires pride within the community for generations to come.

Please arrive on time as the tour will begin at 4:00 sharp. Wear closed toe sensible shoes and you will need a HARD HAT for this tour. CREW Greenville has a small number of hard hats but if you have your own bring it with you for the tour.
