Registration window November 5, 10:00 a.m. -December 1, 7:00 p.m.
This event is the culminating event of your student’s journey through the Scientific Method or Engineering Process Cycle.
Through Google Classroom, the student will gain approval PRIOR to starting on their project.
Step-by-step instructions will be given, and support in picking a project, approving, and suggestions on how to do the Scientific Method will be provided.
On the day of the fair, the project will be brought with 1) Display board with the project presented, 2) Log book with all the information from the process, 3) Ready to talk with the judges. Prizes will be presented that day: ribbons and trophies have already been ordered for the future winners.
All students are welcome to participate TK-12th grade, in our school science fair. If the student is a Kern County resident, is in 4th-12th grade, and accumulates enough points at our science fair, they will be invited to participate in the Kern County Science Fair in March.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please indicate this when you register your student and let the field trip host know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.
**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**
May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!
What are the check-in procedures? 11:30 is check-in time. Check in at table inside the auditorium Students will set up their projects on the table according to grade level
Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Students must be in TK-12th grade to participate.
Is there on-site parking available? Free on-site parking or free on-street parking according to the posted signs.
Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes, feel free to bring snacks or a picnic lunch.
Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.
