Poetry and Prose Auditions-Heartland Charter School

Registration window December 13, 10:00 a.m. -January 24, 7:00 p.m.

TK-8th grade students, come audition for Poetry and Prose. Top 8 groups/individual performers will advance to the 40th Annual TCOE Poetry & Prose!

Poetry & Prose ON-STAGE is one of TCOE’s longest-running student events! Last year more than 1,900 students from 120 schools performed their Poetry & Prose selections before an appreciative audience of family, friends, teachers, and judges.

Knowledgeable, experienced judges evaluate each performance, and every student receives a beautiful, personalized certificate before they leave. This event is free and open to the public - family and friends are encouraged to attend.

In order to register, please email Bethany Cantrell bethany.cantrell@heartlandcharterschool.com with your student’s selection no later than 1/24/24. You will then need to attend auditions.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please email the field trip host to let them know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!

What are the check-in procedures? Check-in with Bethany a 12:00.

Does this trip have any grade or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Only students in TK-8th grade can audition. Each person who attends a field trip or event must be registered through Ticketbud

Is there on-site parking available? Parking is free.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes, feel free to bring snacks or a picnic lunch.
