Beginner Acrylic Sculpting

Hello everyone! Sabrina here.

Thank you for your interest in taking this beginner class. With over 13 experience in nail sculpting, I have developed many techniques to make it easier on beginner students to learn how to properly sculpt. After taking this class you will have a full understanding of what it takes to build a strong perfectly sculpted acrylic nail whether it is a simple color or acrylic artwork. This class is perfect for those who want to learn how to perfect their skill. If you are a complete beginner with no skills, this class will show the very basics such as liquid to powder ratio, Please keep in mind that if you have no skills it may be challenging to sculpt but I will be there for each and every student to make your lives easier. If you are a complete beginner with no prior experience, I recommend you start practicing with acrylic now so you get the hang of how acrylic works and I promise you that the day of class you will have an easier time.

This class will be a small group for a more intimate setting so that I can provide a more 1 on 1 experience to each student.

Everyone will be required to wear a face mask during class.

We will cover all of the following:

• Liquid to powder ratio
• Natural nail prep to prevent lifting of product 
• Cuticle prep with e-file and cuticle nipper
• Customizing nail forms to fit various natural nails
• Custom nail shapes: stiletto, coffin, square
• Brush control for easier application
• Proper apex placement
• Achieving a beautiful consistent C-Curve
• Acrylic application to minimize filing and gain speed
• One color acrylic application
• Acrylic ombre design
• Deep french with gel polish
• Glitter and nail art encapsulation
• E-filing & hand filing technique
• How to check your work for perfect symmetry
• Sealing the acrylic around cuticle area to avoid lifting of product
• Keeping nails healthy and free of rings of fire 

You will need to bring the following:

• Acrylic brush (preferably size 10 or 12)
• Dehydrator (optional)
• E-file and bits (Carbide, mandrel, sanding bands and diamond cuticle bit)
• Gel curing lamp
• Small scissors
• Cuticle pusher and nipper
• Long liner brush
• Face mask
• Practice hand or you may use your own hand for practice

****Please arrive with no acrylics or other enhancements on if you will be practicing on yourself****
