Skylark North: A Glider Airport Tour- Heartland Charter School

Registration window March 13, 10:00 a.m. -March 19, 7:00 p.m.

Join us for a tour of Skylark North Glider Airport! We will be learning about gliders and how they operate as well as flight aerodynamics, how to become a pilot, and much more. Students will also be able to take turns sitting in a glider! This will be a fun and informative learning opportunity for all!

After the tour, all families are invited to have lunch at the Raven’s Nest deli. It is located just inside the airport. Come support this local business and grab a delicious bite to eat while enjoying a view of the runway! Please note that food expenses will not be covered by Heartland Charter School and will need to be paid for out of pocket. 

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please email the field trip host to let them know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

May I pay using my funds? This event is FREE!

What are the check-in procedures?  Check-in will be at 10:20 am. Mrs. Maino will meet families and check them in at the picnic table outside the building. 

Does this trip have any height, weight,/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Only one chaperone per family due to limited space. Each person attending a field trip or event must register through Ticketbud.

Is there on-site parking available? Yes, free parking is available.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes.
