Thunderpussy w Marshall Poole & Juice!
Tuesday, August 20, 2019 - Wednesday, August 21, 2019
07:30 PM - 12:00 AM
621 West Main Street, Boise, ID, USA
This Rock n' Roll Peach is getting ripe! Thunderpussy is a one-of-a-kind act not to be missed! If Thor’s Hammer of the Gods from “Immigrant Song” landed in the hands of wise, willful, and wild women? Well, it would sound something like Thunderpussy. Molly Sides on vocals, Whitney Petty on guitar and Leah Julius on bass do the most rock ‘n’ roll thing possible and quite literally fuck up every rock ‘n’ roll stereotype you know to be true, piercing the halls of Valhalla in the process. https://www.facebook.com/Thunderpussy/
Joining the killer lineup for the show will be The Shackeltons, out of Minn., Minn. "Imagine Conor Oberst with a John Belushi attitude, fronting the Hold Steady." -Jay Gabler (89.3 The Current) https://www.facebook.com/CCandTS/
Directly following will be hot new local funk band, Juice!, playing Dance; Funk; Rock & Soul! Ashley Young rocks the vocals with Jonah Engelund on guitar, Sergio Gonzalez on bass and Scott Eisele on drums. https://www.facebook.com/sipofjuice/
Also opening for TP will be local greats, Marshall Poole! Marshall Poole is: Melanie, Rider, Seth and Michael, a band of classically trained musicians who collaborate within multiple projects in the Boise music scene (including singer/bassist Melanie who is a rotating bassist for Boise legends Built to Spill). They weave multiple genres and techniques together; psychedelic instrumentals with Southern Rock/Pop songs and heavy riffs with intricate melodies. Dubbed a "sweaty rock n' roll hurricane" by the Idaho Statesman, Marshall Poole’s live shows are not to be missed. Their critically-acclaimed original albums, “Totems” and “Pasadena” are available on all streaming services. More info: https://www.facebook.com/marshallpoolemusic/
