Join award-winning San Diego artist Joan Hansen for an immersive two-day workshop exploring the vibrant world of landscapes, water scenes, and skies. With a focus on color and nature, Joan will guide participants through a series of studies and practical sessions aimed at honing intermediate to advanced painting skills.

Day One:

• Explore the nuances of sunrise, bright sunny, and sunset skies through canvas panel studies.
• Learn techniques for painting different types of clouds to capture the essence of each sky.

Day Two:

• Delve into the art of adding water to scenes, considering variations and values influenced by the light in the sky.
• Participants will select a sky study from the previous day and create their own painting of a landscape, seascape, or lake scene using resource photos.
