Tidepooling at Vista Del Mar Beach in Shell Beach-Heartland Charter School

Registration window November 1, 10:00 a.m. -November 11, 7:00 p.m.

Come explore the many creatures that live in the shallow waters off of our coast! We will observe, describe, and interact with many elements of nature including sea creatures, rocks, seaweed, and tides.

Feel free to bring buckets or tubs, nets, and/or gardening gloves if you desire. Shoes with gripping soles that can get wet are highly recommended.

Parents will need to be in full supervision of their children at all times as ocean conditions are unpredictable.

Heartland events are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please email the field trip host to let them know once you complete your registration. Chaperones must be the legal parent or 25 years and older. All chaperones must be healthy, ethical people with the skills to be responsible adult chaperones.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip or event if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

What are the check-in procedures? Upon arrival, please locate Amy Goodman, HST with the Heartland shirt and clipboard, to check in.

Does this trip have any height, weight, and/or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Younger kids need to be well supervised on the tidepools and really need an adult by them at all times. Each person who attends a field trip or event must be registered through Ticketbud.

Is there on-site parking available? PARKING – Free - find parking on the street near the stairs that lead down to Vista Del Mar Beach in Shell Beach.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes.
