Parole Prep's 10th Anniversary Welcome Home Party

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Parole Prep's founding! What began as a small project inspired by incarcerated elders has grown to a powerful, statewide movement. In the last decade, we've trained over 700 community volunteers and partnered with nearly 400 incarcerated people--270 of whom have already returned home to their loved ones. Beyond preparing people for the parole board, we've expanded our efforts to litigation, reentry support, legislative advocacy and more. 

To celebrate these milestones and to honor the homecoming of the dozens of people who were released from prison last year, we're hosting our 10th Annual Welcome Home Party on May 11th! In person! We'll have free food and drinks, music, and a short program. It will be a time to celebrate the joys of freedom and reflect on the lives of those still incarcerated.

Tickets are sliding scale, starting at $25. We encourage you to give generously and think of your tickets as a contribution towards the larger movement to end long-term incarceration in New York State. If you're unable to attend the event, please consider donating tickets to formerly incarcerated people and their families (tickets are free for all directly impacted people!). Please also be in touch if you or any of your affiliates would like to serve as formal sponsors of the event. 

*This beautiful venue is located on the 12th floor (accessible by elevator) and has two large, outdoor terraces that will remain open throughout the evening. In order to make this event more accessible for the older and immunocompromised members of our community, attendees will be strongly encouraged to wear masks throughout the evening. We've outlined our extended Covid protocols, as well as details about the accessibility of the event space in this memo. Also note that we'll have a livestream of the event available the night of the party for those who can't attend in person. We'll send the link out over email a day before the event.
