Student & Staff Assembly

Our university is currently invested in funds and research relationships that support genocide, military occupation, and war crimes. The ongoing genocide in Gaza compels us to act urgently to end the University’s complicity.

In the past few months, different student and staff initiatives have sought to engage University administration on the question of unethical investments and research partnerships. Rather than engage with these efforts, University leaders have dismissed our concerns. Many of us feel that the space for collective action on campus to address the most significant political and moral issues of our time is shrinking. This assembly is envisioned as a platform to counter this. It is an opportunity to come together to discuss how we might move forward and support each other to amplify our demands for divestment, and to collectively refuse the university’s complicity in the ongoing colonisation and genocide in Palestine.
