About Carol:
Carol Spann Mathews believes the right message doesn’t just inform—it ignites. As a message strategist, she works with organizations to uncover their authentic voice, understand their audience, and craft messaging that drives clarity, connection, and real results. She guides teams in refining not only what they say, but how they say it—so that every communication becomes a tool for influence and alignment.
She also leads organizations through mission, vision, and values development—translating the heart of their work into language that inspires action and shapes culture.
In her role as Creative Director, Carol oversees all outward-facing media for nonprofit and private-sector organizations, aligning brand identity, design, and messaging with their deepest purpose. Her portfolio includes major initiatives such as the Oklahoma Governor’s Prayer Breakfast and First Lady Sarah Stitt’s Hope Foundation.
With over three decades of experience in film, television, and brand storytelling, Carol brings both creative intuition and strategic insight to her work. As Producer of the feature film HOME RUN—released theatrically by Samuel Goldwyn—she helped bring a redemptive story of addiction and recovery to the big screen. The film opened in nearly 400 theaters and earned the second-highest per-screen average in the country on opening weekend. Its success reflected Carol’s core strength: understanding the audience and delivering a message that resonates.
Her production credits span ESPN, TBN, For Dummies, and the award-winning documentary series Hymns. Through her company, Hero Productions, she continues to help mission-driven organizations harness the power of story to move people to meaningful action.
Carol lives in Tulsa with her husband, Scott Allan Mathews, and their two sons, Samuel and Gabriel.
