His best-selling book is a major reimagining of how evolutionary forces work, revealing how mating preferences—what Darwin termed "the taste for the beautiful"—create the extraordinary range of ornament in the animal world. 


Richard Prum will discuss his work in the field of Evolutionary Ornithology and his position as Head Curator of Vertebrate Zoology at the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University.
