Passport acceptance event with the Offices of Congressman Suhas Subramanyam and Congressman James Walkinshaw invite the U.S. Department of State’s Washington Passport Agency to accept passport applications at Sully District Government Center.

To make your appointment, follow the instructions below. Appointments are required and capacity is limited. Only one registered appointment holder per family (up to seven people total per appointment) is required. Passports will be sent by mail within 4-6 weeks (routine service) or 2-3 weeks (expedited service).

After making your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email (and text message, if requested) with detailed instructions. Please carefully read these instructions!

Detailed Instructions:

What To Bring:

- Appointment Confirmation – Bring your appointment confirmation email.

- A Completed Passport Application – follow the steps for first-time applications (Form DS-11) or renewal applications (Form DS-82).

- Evidence of your U.S. Citizenship – Birth Certificate; Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship; Previously Issued U.S. Passport

- A Recent Passport Photo – 2” x 2” (NO GLASSES in Passport Photos). Note: photo services will not be available at the passport fair.

- Valid Photo Identification – Driver’s License; State ID Card; current passport; or Military ID. Also provide a clear, single-sided copy of the front and back of the ID.

- Passport Fee Payment – check, money order, or credit card, but no cash.

Minor Children Under 16:

- If you are applying for a child under 16, both parents must be present with the child, unless the non-appearing parent provides a notarized, sworn statement authorizing passport issuance to the minor child. You must submit documentation that shows parental relationship to that of the child applying for a passport. See the Department of State Passport information page for children under 16 for a full list of requirements and documents.

Additional Information:

- We suggest you arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. Your entire party must be present before you will be admitted. Weapons, food, and drinks (except water in a sealable bottle) are not allowed into the passport application area.

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment:

- If you need to cancel or change your appointment, please forward your appointment confirmation email to our office. Please sure to insert the words “Cancel My Appointment” or “Modify My Appointment” at the beginning of the pre-existing subject line.

- Appointments cannot be transferred to another customer. We will verify that you are the true appointment holder upon arrival based on your appointment confirmation.
