Get Ready to Grow Organic, Planning for your Fall Garden!

Thinking about starting a vegetable garden at home? This "How To" workshop is designed to help you start with a great foundation! Though our time to grow most annual vegetables in south Florida is winding down, summer is the perfect time to get ready for your FALL garden. We're here to help you learn the things you can do over the next few months to give your gardens a wonderful foundation.

  Already grow food at home? This workshop is a great refresher and will also discuss summer cover crops, soil building and solarizing in depth.

   The reason that many home gardeners have problems growing their own food is due to the lack of proper information and preparation. We're here to help you learn about creating good soil, how to Vermicompost (worm) and what style of food gardening will best fit your space and your budget.

  Avoid the urge to buy materials or start construction until you attend this valuable workshop. We'll cover various styles of home vegetable and herb gardening from starting small with containers to constructing large beds. Though you can find loads of general info and products on the Internet, you'll gain a lot more practical knowledge by talking to your local food farmers!

  This 1.5+ hour workshop is designed for an adult or mature teen audience. Advance registration is required 24 hours prior to the workshop. STRICT Covid-19 policies are still in place and NOT negotiable. Masks are required, as is social distancing. This is an outdoor event. Close toed shoes are required. Sun protection is advised. No cell phone use for voice, video or text during the workshop.
