Cords of Community Inaugural Film Festival

UPDATE:

Due to rain, Cords of Community Film Festival has been moved to May 17th (same time and location). Please note that your ticket purchases will carry over, and that we are unable to offer refunds for purchases made after 5/9/22.

Please join TheDynamitExperience in an evening of celebration surrounding the 10 dance films selected for the first annual Cords of Community Film Festival.

We will be gathering at La Plaza Cultural at 6 PM . The event will continue until 8:30 pm.

Finalists will engage in talk-backs following the screening, sharing their perspectives on this years theme "Community", and the overall process of their work.

You are welcome to bring a blanket, chair, or cushion to enjoy the outdoor screening. Please note you are responsible for aiding in the stewardship of this outdoor location, and any trash brought in must be carried out.

Accessibility: 

There are no steps or level changes to get into the garden, however the ground near the entrance is covered in bark and usually a bit uneven, so please reach out to us if you may need assistance in any way. La Plaza Cultural is a fairly accessible space. Note: there is a curb cut at the corner (SW corner of 9th and C). If you are relying on MTA transit, please contact 511 as some schedule maintenance affects accessible stations nearby.
