Cost is £295 for the 3 days (Trot Up day can be attended singly for £100) - this link is for the deposit of £75 - balance of £220 (or £25 if only attending one day) to be paid on the day. Anyone may attend Intensive Trot Up day (day 2) but the hands on practice on Days 1 and 3 (with manual techniques) is restricted. This means that group members 1. Who wish to practise the techniques must be qualified equine therapists or students of equine therapy/bodywork and vets where it is assumed that they are trained and qualified to a) evaluate any technique for its clinical suitability b) apply the technique according to their clinical reasoning c) perform the technique safely and competently. 2. Those not suitably qualified are welcome to participate in days 1 and 3 but may only practise performing myofascial techniques, not the manipulations.
Myofascial Techniques will focus on spinal mobilisation and scar tissue will be addressed, including the castration scar. A variety of techniques will be covered. Caroline Lindsay began learning these techniques with Ruth Mitchell-Golladay on her 5 day course 15 years ago and has added to the protocol with her training and experience ever since. Group members will NOT be required to practise on each other.
Senior Horse Therapy day will focus on the special needs and consideration of older horses who frequently require a modified approach to treatment. We will assess range of motion, tissue condition & gait and then apply appropriate and effective manual techniques that the oldies love.
intensive Trot Up day will cover trot up and a variety of assessment techniques in detail on a variety of horses for the purposes of creation of treatment goals and exercise prescription. Clinical reasoning will feature highly throughout.

Arrival 9.00am for 9.30am start. 4pm finish. We usually start at 9am, finishing at 3.30 on days 2 and 3 since the group are already staying nearby.
Participants must bring suitable footwear and helmets for the workshop session.
18 hours CPD - attendance certificates given. (6 hours for Intensive Trot Up)
