Directions: Either take Stevens Creek Canyon Rd, Hwy 85 S, or Pierce Rd to get on Hwy 9. From Hwy 9, take Sanborn Rd. Follow the road and meet in the large parking lot - “Youth Science Institute” on Google Maps. We’ll explore the Redwood/Douglas Fir tree lines for interesting birds to photograph.
Highlights: Possible Western Tanager, Pileated Woodpecker, Golden Eagle, Bald Eagle and other predatory birds.
Notes: Entrance fee required. Beginning to novice photography experience is welcome. Charge your camera batteries! Lunch optional, Kids of all ages are welcome
