Directions: From Hwy 101 or I-680 take McKee Rd northeast toward hills then left on Toyon Ave, right on Penitencia Creek Rd, and continue into park. Pass under bridge and meet at far end of Rustic Lands parking lot (free).
Highlights: Variety of habitats, including chaparral, riparian, mixed forests, grassland, and rocky terrain. We will look for Great Horned Owl, Hermit Thrush, Rufous-crowned Sparrow, California Thrasher, Acorn Woodpecker, Raptors, and more.
Difficulty: Moderately strenuous 3-4 mile-walk.
Notes: Rain cancels, kids ages 14+ are welcome
