Cookout for Nick Rucker

The Copper Still

212 W Water St, Richmond, KY 40475, USA

This event has already passed by. Sorry.

Event Description

A great man, son, and friend has been lost in the form of Robert Nick Rucker. A Private in the National Guard, and a Lambda Chi brother at EKU, Nick was taken too soon in a car accident on April 3rd. We are all aware of the hardship accompanied with having a family member taken from you too soon, and hope that this event will bring people together not to mourn, but to remember and reminisce about Nick. Proceeds from the cookout will be donated to the family in an effort to aid them in their time of need, and emotional recovery.

No matter whether you knew him closely, remember passing him by on the sidewalk, or are just now hearing about him, we hope to see your face at the cookout. This will be an opportunity for people to come together and celebrate the man we all, as a community, have lost. Please feel free to invite everyone you know, there is no reason we can't all be a part of this event, and have a great time for a great cause.

If you personally knew Nick and would like to post a little bit about him and your time with him, please feel free to do so on the Facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/857849857675500/). We're sure the family would love to see the outreach from the community, as even the smallest of well wishes can go miles in a time of loss. Please share this event on your pages and invite friends, so that we can bring together a great group of people who would like to show their support for the family in this trying time.

Your ticket/wristband guarantess you all the food you can eat, with a choice of 1/2 pound hamburgers, 1/4 pound hot dogs, baked beans, chips, and a pickle spear with every new plate. It will also entitle you to drink specials, and the opportunty to partake in other events we will have going on throughout the cookout.

The grill will begin cooking and music begin playing at 6 PM, and will go on until 9 PM, or a little after in the event we deem it necessary.

Events going on during the cookout will include:

Silent Auction

Cornhole

Pool Tournament

And Three Musical Performances

More information will be added to this page as it is gained and confirmed.

106.7 The Dog will be joining us that day to give our guests music on the way in the doors, and to do a live broadcast from our location to let the community know how everything is going!
