As you might know, early in July, West Japan was hit by torrential rain at ‘beyond expectation’ scale.  It was the worst flooding since 1983- Over 200 lives have been lost. People lost their family and friends unexpectedly. The pain of those people are unimaginable.

Thousands of people are still evacuated and are living in local shelters with limited resources. And many people have no home to go back to.

On 1st September, we will be organizing ‘Pop up shop’ in Islington to DO WHAT WE CAN. Fortunately we have several fantastically talented professionals on board to collaborate on the day. You can help us as TEAM UK, raising fund for people in West Japan by just poping in to the shop and enjoy pampering yourself or entertaining yourself by performances and give what you can! 

The day consists of two parts.

Health and beauty pop up shop 12:00-16:00 (Free: Donation basis)

There will be ‘Mini beauty and make up sessions’ available.

They are based in Okayama, one of the most severely affected areas. And they are working closely with local people.

 

皆さまご存知の通り、7月上旬に西日本で起こりました豪雨で、死者200人を越え、5千人以上の方々が避難生活をされています。ほんの数時間の間に、家を失ったり、家族、友人を失った人たちがたくさんいます。

 災害の多い日本で、私たちは、今までも沢山の危機に直面してきましたが、力強く復興してきました。きっと今回の被災地も、日々、復興が進んで、きれいな街は復活するでしょう。しかし、被災者の方々元の生活を取り戻すことは、街の復興の様には行きません。被災した現実は一生付きまといます。被災者の方々の痛みは、報道が減っても、道路、橋が修復されても、続きます。失った家族は帰ってきません。トラウマと闘わなければなりません。被災された方々の大変な道のりは始まったばかりです。

 9月1日、イズリントンで、ポップアップショップとして、チャリティーイベントを行います。被災地から遠いイギリスからでも、「私たちが出来ること」をすることで、僅かであっても被災した人たちの力になれたらと願っています。このイベントで、ミニメイクアドバイスを受けたり、エンターテイメントの企画に参加して楽しんで頂くことが大きな力になります。
