The Repurpose Project

1920 NE 23rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609, USA

Join Repurpose Project co-founder, Sarah Goff, and local artist and RP staff member, Alix Mathia for a laid back, low pressure jewelry making evening focusing on the use of salvaged and repurposed material. Learn the basics of the dremel tool for drilling holes into material so they can be jump ringed together. Explore different and unexpected material for your jewelry projects. Get aquatinted with the basics of jewelry soldering to connect jump rings so they won't pull out easily. This is an introductory class and there will be a variety of materials in our workshop space that are included in the price of the workshop. Feel free to get to the store early if you would like to look around and purchase specific items for your creations or bring items you would like to work with.

Adult Workshop Series - 18 years and older only

Class costs $10-$25 sliding scale. Please donate beyond the $10 if you can to ensure the financial feasibility of holding these workshops into the future. Class fees cover teachers, materials, staff, the space, and promotion of the event.

Class size is limited. To reserve your space you must purchase a ticket on this site and pay in full. In the past the spots have filled up quickly and we have determined this is the fairest way to do it and ensures people who sign up will attend.

There are 1 to 2 need-based scholarship spaces if you can not afford the class. Please fill out this survey if you want to be considered for the scholarship: https://goo.gl/forms/q4NiGRCADl3Codnq1

This event is sponsored in part by a grant from the City of Gainesville, Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Department.
