OUR VALUES:

Pro queer, pro harm reduction, pro radical self expression, pro unfettered individuality, pro dance, pro consent, pro feminist

Anti racist, anti exclusion, anti colonialist, anti misogyny

What to expect: Top notch sound, expertly curated tunes, non-stop fun and a sexy, sassy dance party. Deco, lights, delicious drinks, and surprises galore.

MISSION:

The folx at NPT HAUS seek to create and maintain an inclusive, sassy, high-vibe, energetic dance floor and party. Our ultimate goal is to facilitate community connection and deliver a booty-shakin’ good time. Our vehicle to do so is top-notch, underground dance music delivered by talented DJs, in a space that understands our mission and caters to our guests.

Who we are: Newport Haus is a local event production company owned and operated by two local Newport women: Kelsey Morgan of Level Beauty Collective, and her designer / educator cousin, Katie Egan. We partner with our good friends at Newport Out to throw inclusive, monthly parties in our beautiful seaside town.

CONSENT POLICY:

In terms of consent, intoxication and general party culture: the ladies at NPT HAUS run a tight ship. We believe that the dance-floor is a holy place. No means no. We do not dance with people who don’t want to be danced with. We do not touch folx without their permission. We do not drink too much and over-consume. Newport has a reputation for debauchery and revelry. Let’s hold onto the revelry and drop the rest! If anyone has an issue and feels uncomfortable on the dancefloor, find Kelsey, Katie, Matt or Nicole and we will take care of you <3

Harm Reduction:

If you see something. Say something. NPT HAUS staff members are trained, on-call, and have narcan on hand at all times.

More on our incredible headliner, Esthera:

While sneaking off to nightclubs as a teenager Susan ultimately found a home in Boston's underground house scene in the 90s. Her mentor, DJ Bruno, convinced her to take up DJ'ing and she spent years fine tuning her skills on the turntables.

Shortly after, Susan landed her first gigs at raves playing breaks as DJ Lil' Sue and traveled all over the east coast to thousands at festivals. DJ'ing these events gave Susan exposure to many different genres. She was also known to play trance, hard house, and even drum & bass. In the early 2000s Susan began DJ'ing at various nightclubs in the Boston area

until she was hired as the resident DJ to noteworthy venues such as Avalon, Axis, and Embassy. From 2003-2007 She was seen spinning up to 5 times per week and had won many “Best of Boston” awards. In the 2010's Susan spent her time revamping and managing a popular nightclub in Boston for 9 years. After resigning from her management position in 2019 she took a small break from nightlife to re-focus her attention back on the music and culture that started it all for her. Within the past year Susan has also started producing her own music. Her first 3 releases have all hit the Traxsource genre top 50 charts and her first release sat comfortably in the number one position for 3 weeks.
